On a Random Note...

So.... I really haven't updated my blog in a week. Sorry to disappoint but, I won't be giving up that easily. I just popped by to say hello. Another recent thing I discovered, I can link YouTube video's straight to the blog!! For me, it means not having to open up a million tabs to copy links. For you, it means not having to leave the page either!! :') Hooray for my online expeditions! Anyway's, I'd also like to say this is not just an alternative rock music page. I listen to MUCH MUCH more than that. You'd actually be surprised at the amount of music I listen to. If music was the sun, I'd look worse than Snooki. So, I'm just putting it out there that there is more to come. Unfortunately, I have to attend my aunts birthday.......6 hours away from home. Not a big deal, I've done 24 hour trips by car annually. What bothers me is that I'll have nothing to do because I'm a tad bit socially awkward. Believe it or not, I don't mix well with my step-mothers family. Meh. They'll just have to put up with me. Anyway's, enough of my venting. I HOPE YOU ALL HAVE A WONDERFUL LONG WEEKEND! :)

Bon Iver!!

Can I just point out that I have 21 views of my blog?? Most of them are from me...LOL, fail much?? Anyway's, moving on to the topic of Bon Iver! Bon Iver is the indie band that is currently taking my city by storm. And, because they are worthy enough to make my Itunes-they have been featured. I still don't know much about them...however, I've been a fan of them for about a week and a half and they have been good so far.

Black Veil Brides

First and foremost, I would just like to say that I AM over blogging. I'm absolutely sure of this. But, I suppose all (zero) of you will just simply have to put up with it at this point. Black Veil Brides is one of my most favourite bands. I've been a follower of the rock/screamo band for about four years now. All I can say is that I have never been unimpressed with them with the exception that they hardly ever stop in Canada. They've toured with some pretty big names (according to me) and that scores them some real big points. They went on tour with Aural Vampire which is a Japanese darkwave band. They themselves are pretty awesome (yes- I DO listen to music in other languages). The lead singer of the band Andy Six or Andy Biersack has an amazing voice. He can scream and change quickly back to clean vocals. He just so happens to also have the perk of being quite attractive. I know I swoon over the singer often. The only unfortunate fact- for all those ladies out there- he has a girlfriend. he dedicated the song "The Morticians Daughter" to her(While my heart was exploding, it was also secretly damning her #ForeverAlone). One of their most popular songs is "Knives and Pens" which was released in 2009/10. (strangely enough, the MV was released before the single.)
Just a little picture of Andy <3

Big Wreck New Song

As I'm sure if any of you know who Big Wreck is, you'll also know that they have a new single out called "Albatross". This is some pretty big shit, considering their peak was in the 90's. Now, to put it briefly, this song is fucking awesome. I don't want to sound like I'm living in the 90's or anything, but the song puts a VERY 90's spin on modern rock. It's pretty dope; and not just because I already like them.Well, I suppose that IS a factor. Mostly because it sounds like something Nikki Sixx would come out with. Like I said, just right awesome.

DanceGavinDance

Maybe it's just me, or I might be over blogging. Which is probably fine since my following concludes of zero. Tough crowd much?? Anyway's, what I really came to blog about was DanceGavinDance. Awesome? I think so <3. There really isn't a whole lot to say about them from me. I mean, I've been a loyal listener for about a year. Besides the fact that I think they're fucking gnarly. They have that perfect combination of scream and vocals. Not that I'm hating on screaming. Believe me; I wear my heart on my sleeve as much for Bring Me The Horizon and other bands. It's just always nice to have that switch up. Their concept is awesome. They're basically a very modern rock band. Their music is mostly focused in a dark yet thrash-out feeling. They really make you let you're inner alternative rocker out. So, as I usually do: I shall post some videos of their music from YouTube.

Youtube Music Scene

Hey to all my followers (which concludes of zero-not including me)! Just popping in again. Blog subject: music from YouTube. Although I know some of you would question this; but I believe that YouTube is at the forefront of music. Let's just throw this out into the open here: besides Itunes there really isn't a lot of music circling around digitally. And I'm just being honest when I say this but, I don't really think anyone pays mind to SOPA.What's the largest free-music database??? You guessed it. YouTube. This is like a whole bunch of lakes; and YouTube is the biggest-cleanest one. The others look like dirty mud puddles- and are a little bit fishy. Pun intended ;). The fishermen and people all want to go to the big clean lake. I wouldn't blame them. And if you're using sites like Napster or programs like Frost/Limewire; you know what they say...the grass is greener on the other side. Now don't take my words too close to heart (IN OTHER WORDS A DISCLAIMER). I'm not telling you to go out on the internet and illegally download music; I'm just merely saying that YouTube is a good way for discovering and listening to music. And if you do choose to download, don't mention me. It's not my fault. Anyway's, I'll post a link to my YouTube channel. There you can listen to the songs I'm listening to. Most of my video's are not what I'm listening to: they are most likely in my "liked" or "Favorited" videos. Here we are: the magic link...    http://www.youtube.com/user/raven55p8
However, if I'm ever REALLY raving about a song or musician(s), I'll be more than likely to post it on here.

What happened to 90's Grunge?

Why hello to my non-existent following!! I fear this is becoming a trend...I suppose my blogging career was over before it started but none the less, I shall write. Along with reminiscing in my broken dreams, I was revelling  in my music collection of 90's grunge. You know how scientists say the music you listened to as an infant decides the music genre you will listen to when you are older? I am starting to believe them. Of course my dad just happened to be a grunge junkie when he was a younger person. So, today was the beginning of semester two at my high school. I decided not to skip and join in the festivities of useless first classes. However, when I was in history one of the ice-breakers was to announce the last song you listened to. When I checked my I-phone it just so happened to be "Song 2" By: Blur. My history teacher was shocked. Being a 90's child himself quite enjoyed my answer. Does this qualify me for bonus marks?? Anyway's, at the end when everyone was finished listing the last songs they listened to he began announcing the music he liked. Music twins much?? Every time he said someone new, I almost legit jumped out of my chair every time. Nirvana, Matthew Good Band, The Smashing Pumpkins, Blur && Beastie Boys...at that point I was starting to wonder if this was the start of a nice little friendship. Of course he missed some of my all time favourites such as; Our Lady Peace and The Offspring. Anyway's; shout out to you all. Let me hear what your all time favourite bands were from the 90's. And no, they do not have to be grunge.
